About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior EHS Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and managing Machine Safety Risk Assessment processes. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, identifying potential hazards, and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard our employees and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:Β 

  • Develop, implement, and manage Machine Safety Risk Assessment processes.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for machinery and equipment, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety standards are integrated into the design, operation, and maintenance of machinery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures and make necessary adjustments to improve safety performance.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to engineering and operations teams on machine safety issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
  • Lead incident investigations related to machine safety and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on machine safety practices and procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports on safety performance, risk assessments, and corrective actions to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to machine safety.
  • Support equipment start-up and commissioning process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS engineering, with a focus on machine safety risk assessment.
  • Professional accreditation in machine safety.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, ISO).
  • Proven experience in developing and managing risk assessment processes for machinery and equipment in the biotech and pharma industries.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Annual Paid Time Off:

  • Sick Leave: 5 Days (40 Hours)
  • Vacation: 15 Days (120 Hours)
  • Holidays: 11 Federal Holidays (88 Hours) observed in accordance with mcfa's Holiday Schedule

  • Growth Unit allotment may increase over time.
